General Notes and Tips:

When creating a Work Cited List or Bibliography, list the references alphabetically. Your Work Cited List should be typed double spaced and with a hanging indent (that is, all lines after the first should be indents one-half inch). If you are having difficulty, consult the APA Publication Manual, which can be found behind the Reference Desk.

Note that articles from databases require that you include the name of the database the article was retrieved from and the date you retrieved it and the website address of the database.

Please note that when citing websites, the follwing information is need in the following order:

Author. (Date of Publication). Name of Site. Retrieved month day, year, from http://web.hmtl

However, often not all the information is readily available. In these cases, it is appropriate to simply not list the unknown information. Remember if know author is listed, the website title will take the author's place.
