NIST Data Gateway

Access data from the National Institute of Standards and Technology covering a broad range of substances and properties from multiple disciplines.

Energy Citation Database

"The Energy Citations Database (ECD) provides free access to over 2.3 million science research citations from 1948 through the present, with continued growth through regular updates. There are over 150,000 electronic documents, primarily from 1994 forward, available via the database. Citations and documents are made publicly available by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)."

Visual Quantum Mechanics

Funded by the National Science Foundation, Visual Quantum Mechanics involves the development of instructional units that introduce quantum physics to high school and college students who do not have a background in modern physics or higher level math.

Personal and Historical Perspectives of Hans Bethe - Quantum Physics Made Relatively Easy

A series of three lectures on Quantum Mechanics by Hans Bethe. Attended for all audiences, these lectures not only explain Quantum Mechanics, but also gives a historical perspective on the development of the field. These videos run using Quicktime. Introduction and Appreciation videos feature Professor Silvan S. Schweber and Edwin E. Salpeter. Supplementary material and links may be found in the "Reading" section.
