Library Reserves

For Students

Electronic Reserve is a section of Blackboard where instructors have had materials such as articles and book chapters uploaded for their classes. Not all instructors use Electronic Reserve, so course materials may also be located in the Course Documents section for your class on Blackboard.

To find e-reserves in Blackboard: After signing in to Blackboard, click on:

1. "eReserve" tab at top of page on right.
2. Folders will be listed for each course in which you are registered.
3. eReserve documents are listed under each course. Click to view

If your instructor has placed books and materials on Physical Reserve, your course folder will also contain a link to the list of holdings in our catalog.

Print and Other Physical Course Materials

Physical Reserve is a collection of items set aside for classes with special lending privileges. Materials such as DVDs, textbooks, and supplemental material are put into this collection by instructors for their students.

To use an item on Physical Reserve, provide staff at the desk with the instructor's name and the title of the item. You will need a valid student ID to check out reserve materials or any other library materials.

Consult the Library Reserves Catalog for the availability of items on Reserve. Lists of items on Physical Reserve for your course can also be found in the eReserves section of Blackboard.
