Online Renewal

For students, staff and faculty:

1. Start at the library’s web site: http:/lib.newpaltz.edu

2. In the blue menu bar towards the right top of screen, click Go to STL Catalog. You will see the Basic Search screen. Click on LOG IN on the blue menu bar. In the box enter your New Paltz computer user ID and password (NPCUID). This is the same as your email log in. For new students with a Banner number on your ID card, your user name is the banner number(N plus 8 digits). All default passwords are s plus last 6 digits of your ss# .

3. Then click on Log On and you will see the catalog basic search screen.

4. On the menu bar on the right side click on USER INFO in red.

5. On the next screen click on LOANS. This will show you the list of items you have out and the due dates.

6. Click on the blue number to the left of the title and then click RENEW on the next screen. Do this for each book you want to renew. You will keep clicking number one as the renewed book jumps to the bottom of the list.

Make sure you see the date change as you click each book. If the date does not change the book is not renewed.

7. In the blue menu bar at the top click Logout and then GO to log off.

There are 2 on-line renewals for a book. If a book will not renew it may have a hold on it or you are exceeding renewals. Make sure you see the due date change. If you have problems call or visit the Checkout desk: 257-3714

You must renew Interlibrary Loan books on-line in Illiad.
