Concourse Level (Middle Floor)

These are the services that the Sojourner Truth Library provides that are found on the Concourse Level:

 

stacks Book Stacks:

STL's middle floor houses one-half of of the STACKS collection. These books that have a Library of Congress (LC) call number from A through N.

A: General Works
B: Philosophy, Psychology, & Religion
C: Auxiliary Science of History
D: History-General and Old World
E-F: History-Western Hemisphere
G: Geography, Anthropology, & Recreation
H: Social Sciences
J: Political Sciences
K: Law
L: Education
M: Music
N: Fine Arts

Oversized Materials

Oversized books are too big for the standard shelves. If your call number begins with OVR look for the book by its LC call number on the Oversize shelves. 



Juvenile and Young Adult Books

STL has a growing collection of books for emergent readers through young adults.  

This collection is located between the Oversize collection and the elevator.

  • This collection also uses the LC call number system. To find the call number for your book, use the library's catalog.
  • Children's (JUV) and Young Adult (YOUNGA) books are interfiled in a single collection.

 



Computer Lab

STL's middle floor houses one of the many Academic Computing Labs available to students. 

The lab is administered by the Academic Computing Office. Please contact their Help Desk with issues regarding the lab:(845) 257-3597.

 



Study Rooms

Quiet study rooms are found throughout the building. They require you to check out a key at the Checkout Desk.
